Buddy Club has made a very solid and smooth short shifter, feels even more solid than the stock. Doesn't come with instructions but there is a great DIY posting on this site. DO yourself a favor and buy it! Almost perfect, 4.30.2008 Reviewer: JSenek (Clemson, SC) I am very happy with how this shifter decreases the throw length and knob-height, and it was fairly straightforward to install. I fond it necessary, however, to use spacers where the cables connect to the shifter since their was a fair amount of play without them. I can also confirm that this unit works fine on a Type-S. Buddy Club, 4.17.2008 Reviewer: Heath (Houston, Texas) I purchased the Buddy Club Short Shifter (5spd) about 9 months ago. I have never had any problems with it. And yes, you can use the 5spd Short Shifter on the 6spd. I have it installed on my 03 type S. This makes the car much more fun to drive. Shifts are more solid and the shift throws are greatly reduced. The adjustable shifter throw is nice too. Save your money and buy the 5spd!
