These gaskets have been dyno proven to add up to 3-5 ft lb of torque and 5 peak HP across the entire power band on a completely stock Type-S. The base model manifold is made out of 70% out of plastic so gains will not be as high.
The reason for these significant gains is that Honda used a very thin metal gasket which transfers a large amount of heat from the head into the intake manifold, which in turn heats the incoming air.

fit perfectly, 3.7.2010 Reviewer: john (tulsa, ok) installation was a breeze. i recommend also doing a coolant throttle body by-pass to keep it extra cooler. if you live in the northern regions, dont do this. TB will get a bit too frosty and will stick. after installation be sure you do a idle learn procedure. if you don not, your car will idle at 2K and bounce, it will sound like the limiter is kicking in. otherwise great product! Hondata Rules, Gasket Is Good, 1.22.2010 Reviewer: Jason Rogachesky (Orlando, FL) There are two things you should know before installing. 1) This gasket is thick and will move your intake manifold 1/2" away from your engine (toward the front) which means (for me at least) that my AEM V2 CAI mount doesn't line up anymore. 2) If you are going to upgrade to a Type-R PRC intake get the one that is available with it because it is already modified to fit it. 3) Also, despite what some say it IS a PITA to remove and install an intake on the RSX Type-S.
