Reflash lowers the VTEC point to 4500 rpm, advances the cam angle and raises the rev limit to 8500 rpm.
We have implemented a VTEC window from 4500rpm to 5800 rpm.
Below 4500 rpm the K20Z3 is always on the low cam
Above 5800 rpm the K20Z3 is always on the high cam
Between 4500 rpm and 5800 rpm the K20Z3 is on the low cam at part throttle switching to the high cam at full throttle.
This one reflash will work well with a variety of aftermarket performance parts. It will work well with:
An intake
A race header
A combination of intake and race header
Catbacks (as long as they are less restrictive than stock)
It is not designed to work with a stock 06 Civic Si and will lose power between 4500rpm and 5600 rpm if installed.

The 06 Civic employs a mass air flow sensor that automatically adjusts the air-fuel ratio for increases in air flow from intakes and race headers. Race headers will not cause this engine to run lean.

The VTEC switch point on this reflash is very smooth - much smoother than previous reflashes. With a stock air box and race header the switch point is virtually undetectable. For the reduction in VTEC "kick" and aural stimulation, we apologize, but this is the path to maximum power.

Power is gained in the midrange from 4700rpm to 6300 rpm. Power gains above 6500 rpm are negligible, although the higher rev limit will raise average power a little.

As this reflash will work with a combination of aftermarket parts we have two examples of the effect of the same reflash on two 06 Civics. (Both Civics dynoed at about 195 stock HP)

Passes Californian smog testing (no measurable difference from stock)
Fully dealer compatible - works with all Honda scan tools and equipment

Once you purchase the reflash you will be emailed a couple of documents, so please put in a good email address or you won't recieve your paperwork. All orders have to be manually approved and that is done same business day or next day business day depending on when the order is placed. One document will be the form that Hondata needs so that they know what to do to your ECU, the other form will be the instructions on how to ship your ECU to Hondata and what you need to include in the box to them. Club RSX no longer offers the full shipping option. We have also streamlined the order process so that you no longer need to wait for the forms to be emailed, they are now emailed to you as soon as you have successfully completed your order. Your ECU is shipped back to you back to free of charge using next day air shipping from FedEx. Unlike other companies that make you pay for that, Club RSX covers the costs for you.

Honda may not cover mechanical damage to the engine under warranty resulting from exceeding the factory red line. Hondata & Club RSX will not cover any damage as a result of installing this product.
