The stock air box is a MAJOR weak spot of the RSX-S. Now, throttle response is SO much better and VTEC.... mmmmmm the sweet sound of the VTEC crossover I hardly knew existed with the stock airbox. WOW the VTEC crossover is INSANE and sounds great all the way up to 8300 RPM! Just a very very quality intake for the price. Buy with confidence, get rid of that stock airbox, and start scaring people who have their windows down with VTEC! Nice sound, decent performance, 3.26.2008 Reviewer: Steven (Lone Tree, CO) From the stock airbox to this is like day and night to me. You rev up faster, and when VTEC kicks in, you actually hear it. It can be loud at times (with your windows down) but its not really that bad. It makes your car like its actually doing something when you are revving it up. Installation is incredibly easy, make sure all your brackets are on properly and its good to go. In fact, its harder to get the stock airbox out then the new one in. Once you remove the stock heap you can really see how restrictive it is. The biggest issue is removing the Vacuum lines' steel insert. Perhaps it was just mine, but I had a hell of a time getting mine out. I went ahead and clamped that down too just to be safe, but overall very easy install. You defiantly feel more power in Denver (mile high altitude), and the motor defiantly spools up faster. The only downside is that they don't make cold air intakes that don't have such large diameter piping.
