Heat is the primary cause of ineffective brakes due to fade. There is actually a "boundary layerw of gases that builds up between the pad and rotor surface which inhibits performance. Here"s where Power Slot rotors make a big difference. The exclusive Vac-U-Slots machined into the rotor "wipesw brake pads clean, evacuates gases, and sheds heat. A combination of a "high performance padw and Power Slot rotors will provide superior reliable braking for virtually all automotive and truck applications, with an upgrade to larger diameter rotors and bigger calipers typically only needed for the most severe competition applications.
Power Slot rotors are manufactured to the highest tolerances keeping SAFETY and quality our number one priority. Slotting, unlike drilling, doesn"t compromise the structural integrity of the rotor. When you drill a rotor you weaken it and cause stress points that can lead to cracking and ultimately failure. Also, drilled rotors lose considerable surface area compared to slotted rotors which means less active braking area for pad to rotor contact.
Power Slot rotors are made using the highest quality Original Equipment replacement blanks. Competitors will sacrifice quality by using inexpensive off-shore castings. Typically these are made of inferior porous material and often have less cooling fins than their OE counterpart. These fins also serve to reinforce the rotor and guard against warpage. Power Slot rotors always meet and/or exceed all OE specifications. It"s also important to know that the exclusive Vac-U-Slot is tapered to enhance evacuation of heat and gases. All machining is done in house to Power Performance Group"s application specific tolerances to ensure optimum quality control.
The final touch is a military-spec cadmium plating that gives Power Slot rotors their bright silver finish and protects the rotor from the elements. This eliminates rusty rotor syndrome and enhances the look of custom wheels.

After 46,000 miles on my 2006 RSX, I was facing a vacation trip and decided to replace the front brakes. This is my third RSX and I hoped for the same positive results I had realized when I replaced the OEM brakes on the other two cars. My driving combines highway and city mileage. I drive with some enthusiasm, but also with care.
After speaking with the good folks at Club RSX, I settled on the Power Slot Rotors and the Hawk HPS Brake Pads. Customer service was top notch and the parts quickly arrived as promised. My mechanic put them on and I was ready to roll.
After a little more than 2400 highway and city miles, I am convinced that I made an excellent decision. Hard stops at highway speeds, through wet and dry, I found the braking distance to be significantly shorter while maintaining a great sense of control. This meant that, unlike with the OEM brakes, wheel lockup wasn't nearly so much of an issue when things got really tight. I could decelerate as needed without any drama.
While it's still early days, I do notice also that, after a rainy night, I no longer have a palpable roughness for the first few miles until the rust is scraped off. I was told by Club RSX that the Power Slots were good in this respect and they were, as with everything else, right on the money. The Hawks show no great propensity for dusting, while still providing very good stopping power. This is also appreciated.
The new combination allows me to take full advantage of the stopping power of the AVID TRZ's I put on the car 6 months ago, when I had had enough of the greatly overrated Michelin Pilot's that came with the car.
I can unhesitatingly recommend this combination for anyone looking for a reasonably priced, significant upgrade to the OEM set and strongly feel that Club RSX is the place to buy from.
