Please refer to Head Unit Installation by Brian Gross for more details on installing a new headunit.
Parts List:
1. The radio bezel from a base model RSX
2. 98 up Honda harness (metra part number 70-1721)
3. Either male RCA jacks (available at radioshack) or a set of RSX cables (braided would be the easiest to use).
Step-by-step
1. Use the speaker wires on the 1721 harness and attach the speaker leads (white, gray, purple, and green) to the (in this case they aren't speaker wires but low level outputs) from the radio to the amp under the passenger seat. Making sure to connect positive and negative together.
2.Wire up the rest of the harness then just plug the RCA's into the radio. It helps to have a radio with 2 or more preamp outputs this way you still have balance and fader control. Using these steps, the "richbass" woofer still works, it actually seems to sound better.
Hints:
Despite the front speakers being 2 ohm, you can still swap them out for a 4 ohm set.
