the "J" shape allows the O2 sensor to be installed parallel to the exhaust pipe for better clearance.
M18 x 1.5 Thread. Accepts all standard O2 sensors.

Why weld to a header?, 8.1.2008 Reviewer: Angelo Said (Cape Charles, VA) I got the sensor fitting in the mail fast! Shipping was good. Soon after I found out it needed to be welded. That was it's only downside. I took a regular defowler/sensor spacer and got it welded to the unthreaded end. Soon after I put a small layer of muffler sealent/repair putty and works good no leaks. CEL everyso often (every 700-850 miles). My suggestion is to not drill the hole in the regular defowler any larger and just weld it on. I also primed it with engine paint to prevent rust works great! Allowed use of a Bosch secondary which was longer than stock and unable to fit with the two strait defowlers.
