Good compromise between power and cat., 11.15.2008 Reviewer: dimitri (Los Angeles, CA) I gave this header 4 stars out of 5 because it is a great header that will be a blast to use but its not perfect. Although the fitment was easy for my muffler shop to do, there is slight tapping against the frame when the engine moves around at high rpm throttle input. Also, at stock 800rpm the header made noise for me. probably fixable in the mufler shop but i just bumped my idle to 1000. I do have an engine damper and probably should get motor mounts, but hey my stock header obviously didnt tap, so for fitment the stock one gets 5 stars. obviously vibrant didnt quite make it up to that standard, but it came damn close. Also this header seems to be slightly longer as it causes my exhaust to stick out by about 1inch. Its not that big of a deal but i definitelly liked it better before. Ok, now the important stuff. The header gained me around 30lbs of low end peak torque and a solid 20whp through the upper rpm range (you can find dyno printouts on the forums). The sound is very subdued, with a nice bassy note that sets off car alarms. :) Im using kpro, img, cai and greddy sp2 to complement this header. Before tuning at churchs automotive, this header made half the gains. The car has no CEL lights, no smells and feels totally different. I felt the gains even before tuning, however like any header - if you expect the promised gains, you better get it tuned. Vibrant Race Header w/ High Flow Cat for RSX, 10.26.2008 Reviewer: Russ (tampa, fl) This is a well made product that is relatively easy to install. It is better made than the DC Sports Race Header that I had on prior to this product. It also produced a lot more torque than the DC header despite having the cat. I have three problems with it however; 1]It is slightly too long so my exhaust now rattles against the frame. This should be fixable by bending the hangers at an exhaust shop. 2] Also, I was hoping the CEL would turn off after this install since it has a cat and a J tube for the second O2 sensor. No such luck. It's possible that the sensor is faulty or I still need to put on the defouler .3] I was hoping that it would be a little quiter, but it is actually significantly louder as , I believe, its tubes are a larger diameter than the DC's Still , a thumbs up since it is a well made, good looking product that gives a good result in the horsepower department. .........Russ
