Hi everyone, I recently dangerously spun my RSX heading out of Sunset at Buttonwillow (CW13 configuration - video link below). Would love to get your advice on what I could have done to prevent and what I could have done differently once my right side came off the track. Thoughts? Video...

I think this would be a good thread to have because of the on-going debate of oil performance. In the past decades, oil change intervals have increased because of technological advances in engine and engine oil manufacturing. If I remember correctly, oil change intervals used to be every 500...

Anybody ever do engine oil analysis to really figure out how long you can run your oil in a track day car? I've blown up a couple of motors due to reasons that I think I've got figured out. Of course I thought I had it figured out before I blew the last one and it turned out I was wrong. So in...

Greetings, just changed out my spark plugs this afternoon. I noticed what appear to be an equal amount of deposits on each? What are your opinions on these plugs? My Type-S does burn a considerable amount of oil. If i am wanting to pursue this further what should be my next course of action to...

I saw someone post one a few weeks ago, thought it was cool, here's another. Bought certified used at ~30kmiles. 30K->50K I bounced between Honda oil done by dealer and Castrol 5W30 at 3kmiles intervals. 50K->90K I used Mobile 1 5W30 at 5K intervals. Have always used the Honda Genuine filter.

Hey everyone, I know there's a bunch of opinions on different oils already so I won't play favorites. I've used royal purple and Mobil 1 before but found they start to break down a little early for my tastes so you end up having to change your oil pretty frequently. If you haven't heard of it...

I had my most recent change done by Blackstone. I was very happy with the results. This just confirms my thinking that this stuff is a fantastic oil. Keep in mind, this is primarily highway driving on this change. Any feed back is welcomed.

Hi! Does anyone know of any Windows XP GPS related Track Timing or Motorsport Analysis software available? I have a CarPC with USB GPS receiver and I would love to have some GPS related software for timing track laps, 0-60, 1/4 miles etc. I know there is software available for Pocket PC and...

If some of you remember, i got a MaxQData Bluetooth GPS data recorder a few months ago and I've been using it to learn to drive faster. I haven't been posting anything since I've just been swamped with work but today I finally got a chance to pull up some graphs and do this detailed write up...

The ratio between the connecting rod length and the stroke length of a motor greatly affects the way it performs, and how long it lasts. This ratio (normally represented by “n”) can be calculated as follows: Ratio “n” = Rod Length ÷ Stroke The rod’s length is measured (for this purpose)...

I've noticed that there's been a lot of noobies asking about compression ratios and boosting. Normally, they're given an answer, but not the full reasoning behind it. I've decided to go through and discuss and analyze the issue on why boosted motors tend to run lower compression ratios and...
