While handling the timing chain tensioner the pin I was using fell out and the sprocket fully extended. How do you reset or compress the tensioner? On YouTube, I have seen people reset tensioners for other cars using a screw driver.

I hastily tightened these 2 bolts by hand then closed everything up. This is in a K24A1 CRV. Engine been running normal after a couple hundred miles. It should be 16 ft/lbs. How critical is the torque? It is securing the bearing cap right at the chain wheels. Should I do over? Such a pain.

I hastily tightened these 2 bolts without using a torque wrench. Supposed to be tightened to 16 ft/lbs but I probably went over. It's in a K24A1 CRV. Engine runs normally. Being right next to the chain wheels I thought these might be critical. Will I need to do over or leave it ok?

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question, but here we go. I was just wondering if I need to do anything before I change out the timing chain tensioner cover with the K-Series cover? I'm changing it because I believe its leaking oil and well it was relatively cheap and simple.
