I'm not looking to race my car, but i want to stop hearing all of the wind noise. Where should i put the sound deadening material on?

For those of you that have had the RSX for a while should know that the side panels are like Tin foil and the smallest little contact from another car door will cause a dent. So will adding a sheet or two of sound deadening along the side of the car help protect against door dings?
