Are the stock battery tie downs conductive? My tiedown's coating was peeling and the metal was rusting, so I removed the coating and sanded the metal. Just as I was finishing up I realized the coating felt like electrical tape and was wondering if the tiedown is safe without it?

To open the hood on my RSX I have to grab the lever and turn it clockwise to move the hook to release the hood. Is this normal for the RSX? I think on most cars you lift the lever up. It seems strange that on this RSX I need to turn it clockwise but I don't see any obvious signs that something...
