bare with me. I know this sound like a dumb @$$ question. I just need a second opinion on this. is it wise to buy a tranny from eBay? besides feedback, what else should consider before buying it?

Can someone tell me if there are any differences between the 5-speed manual trannies of the 02-04 and 05-06 base models? Would an 05-06 bolt up and work fine on an 02-04 base engine? I know the type-S year models are different, but cant find any info on the base models. Thanks

so i have an 03 RSX Type s and from what i know my transmission is grinding and its not clutch work... now i found SynchroTech Pro-Series Carbon Synchros.. are these better then the stock synchros?

In my area, there are quite a few k20z3s available. Can I get the z3 and then swap any k series transmission on it? ie k20a2, k20a3, k24a2. I really dont wanna have to flip the shifter arm, and re-wire the z3 tranny to work with my ep3. Any tips or input is appreciated. Thanks.
