Parasitic draw. YouTube that and copy the technique. Hopefully it's not the alarm system (if aftermarket)

If it's #9 fuse, you need to start looking at each of the things that are powered by #9 and find the faulty part.

Kinda have just not sure what else it's feeding besides the head unit

Nothing but the head unit. Is it stock. Something tells me no? Have you added anything like a sub. Go with what you know and look at the systems wiring, somethings open. When you turn the key off does the radio shut off. Send basick24 a p.m he knows all of this. He's been a little shy lately.
Radio was switched to aftermarket but bought a clip so I didn't hack at then put the factory head unit back in and still no power killed the amp at the battery and took thr back up fuse out and no draw since its just weird..
its just weird..
Your just weird? :devilish: Fuc'n with you man. Go back to where everything went wrong. The adapter you used could be off cuz something ain't right. I should ask Is it a base or Type S. The wiring would be different. That alone would do it.
Did u hook up the dimmer wire when u did the head unit? If not, it might be grounding on a bracket or something. I've seen it before, the wires come prestripped and has some wire exposed. It's a long shot but if your head unit doesn't dim with your headlights on, check your wiring back there. It's usually an orange wire.

#9 fuses powers all these so you need to check all these and start pulling one of these off to see if the amp drops.

Audio unit, Data link connector (DLC), Gauge assembly, Immobilizer control unit-receiver,
Immobilizer indicator, Keyless receiver unit, Multiplex control unit, Security control unit

I had the same issue and mine was the Securityy control unit.

I'm hoping it's not the security unit

I have all lights but I'm not getting power to the head unit regardless if it's aftermarket or factory

Before even continuing on, are you PROPERLY testing the battery amp draw? With door and hood closed? The hood gets bypassed by placing a screwdriver into the hood latch and the door gets bypassed by using anything that presses down the door switch. Car must be LOCKED using the remote. For the rsx chasis, it only takes a few seconds (about 15 seconds) to go into sleep mode.

Honestly everything is closed and had the hood latch down so it thinks it's closed but I bought the car second handed so I never got the remote for the key lock and door on driver doesn't lock even when you lock it but never thought about that tho

It can probably still work without the remote as long as the car think it's closed. According to the oem shop manual, the car is be about .02 mili amps when everything is off. If you have anything over .05 then you have something that is still running. Although .05 should still last you at least 2 weeks.

IDK on that man. Hitting that fob triggers a succession of events. Glad to see others chime in. It might not be as a severe of a reaction as on a Type S but good luck on that. If he has no power then that's another whole new beast. IF #9 controls all that, admittedly more than I thought. It's alot! I'd get the key fob issue/ door lock/ security/ radio shit worked out. That could kill power and how is this thing even starting? :devilish: Devil's advacate.

All the info needed is on the FREE rsx shop manual and can also be found on those forum, if searched. It's a 17+ year old car, there's plenty of info on here, just gotta find it

I'm a HUGE fan of the shop repair manual, not youtube. The repair manual has all the proper ways to check for things.
