I went to California Speedway in Fontana CA this weekend and hit a 14.8 with stock tires. I hit it at 96.mph i kept burning out to much when i took off..how big of a difference would tires make? I know it should be better because 96 mph is usually 14.5-14.4 range isn't it? Oh yeah and i have a Aem CAI and Hondata stage 4 .... i dont think i did bad for my first time at the track :D ..

i tried to launch like at 3 - 35 but it would just cuz too much tire spin so i would keep it like at 2500 and ease off the clutch but not too slow and thats when i would catch faster and got my best time.

They say a good driver can knock off .4 with good drag radials.. I would recomend the BFG Goodrich over the Nitto 555r's. Only because the BFG's are stickier than the Nitto's but the Nitto's have long life... Faster times or long life... you decide...

As far as the average joe you can count on at least a .2 gain on any drags..
