Yes, 30+whp with test pipe and aem cai.

My reasoning....
Stock the type s dynos at 160-165whp. I dynoed 185 with a cold air intake. So that is 20-25whp gain.

My friend, kaisertypes, he posts here got gains of 10whp with the unforgettable test pipe.

So that is 30-35whp gains.

nah man, i think his was in a perfect combo...cuz he dyno'ed everything at once with itr cams, ecu, headers, and etc....so the test pipe varies. i need a place to dyno my car with aem cai and gasket...im hoping 190whp, then maybe ill get the test pipe.

bro, do a search...theres plenty of info.

Mods don't gain you HP on top of each other like that. What I mean is that if you have a intake that give you say 10whp, and an exhaust that gives you 6whp, that won't give you 15whp together... more like 12-13whp. I think 170WHP in a base auto is going to be hard to get to.. but it's very possible. I want to get about 160whp myself... but not sure what route I want to take yet

why not just bust a 30 shot of NX? That low a jet is safe and will get you your 170 easy...

Ya thats how I feel. It was just a suggestion. N/A gives great peace of mind and throttle response.

170whp doesnt seem too far off...ionno what ppl might think but i myself am shooting for 260whp...bolt ons alone wont get a whole lot of hp...for beginners try using that 160hp or 200hp at the flywheel and putting it to the wheels...most likely all that power will not hit the wheels but it will make a big difference...the k20a3 dynos around 130hp stock...i/h/e will make a lil, add an aftermarket clutch and lightened flywheel..160whp is not far off

He has an auto tranny... Putting an extra 30HP to the wheels is pretty hard without spending $2000 or more in parts. Best bet is to go supercharger. turbo would prob be too much for em. I would love to get about 30Hp more in my car though. That's enough to take down plenty of cars out there!
