....but using an Escort Passport Gtimer GT2. haha

After reading other people's quarter mile times I wanted to get a rough idea where my car might be. So I checked out Escort's webpage and they have a 30-day money-back guarentee... no questions asked! So I said why not?

I've only done 10 runs and the best I could do was:
1/4 mile time: 14.65
speed: 94.5
0-60 6.05
60ft 2.3

My other runs ranged from 14.77 to 14.9

I couldn't get a better 60ft time. Most were between 2.3 and 2.4 seconds. But I'll play around some more and try to get a better launch.

Surprisingly my 0-60 times were pretty respectable. Most between 6.05 and 6.5

I tried to calculate horsepower but who knows who acurate that is. I specified the car weight to be 2950lbs. My peak horsepower was 189.

This thing is a fun little gadget and I'd recommend people try it... then return it like I'm planning to do.

Oh then later on I spotted this guy with a brand new SRT-4. When he saw me pull up next to him he'd accelerate hard then let up. His car sounded pretty damn mean with that BOV. I was in first and punched it once (chirping) so he could hear the V2 anger. We pulled up to a stop light and rolled down the windows for a conversation. I gave him a thumbs up then he said "Car sounds good!". The light turned green, we were still talking so we started slow... he said "let's go a little" I knew I had no chance but was like okay, so I punched it in 1st at about 20mph and got about a 3/4 car lead (due to me jumping first) after 1st. After second he was right next to my mirror. Into third he pulled hard and got about 3/4 car lead on me. He was still pulling strong so I shut down at about 80ish (traffic ahead). I caught up to him a little later. He asked if I had a turbo... I was like "no just an intake and chip" I asked him if he was stock and he said "uhh... naw". I told him nice ride then that was it. It was fun.

well I played around with the meter some more and think that it's not quite accurate. When doing some runs I would watch my speedometer and wait to hear the meter beep when it stops and gives the 1/4 miles results. The meter supposedly stops the instant it calculates that the car has traveled a 1/4 mile. The meter would say my top speed was around 95.X but the instant it beeped my speedometer was actually at 99. I checked this several times and got the same results. I couldn't get better than 14.7 after 10 runs or so. (although the weather was somewhat humid 80% and I had just filled up my gas tank) I guess there could be a couple of explainations that either my speedometer is not quite acurate, or there is a buffer in the sampling resulting in a delay. I'm going to hook it to my friends car and see what happens just to compare.

Guess I'll never really know my true time unless I go to a real track! But I can't really argue with something that's free. Better make sure I don't get too attached to this toy or I won't return it!

yeah I have 215/45-17's. so theoritically my speedometer is off by 1.04%. I took that into account when stating my mph above. My speedometer would be at 100mph when the meter would finish. So I figured in reality I'm was really only traveling 99 or 98 mph.

Also the road I was running on was only about 95% flat. There were a couple dips that could be throwing the readings off. Hopefully making the readings slower and not faster!

Im not sure what u r saying. Are u saying that the Gmeter is not accurate at the track? When I ran at the track the Gmeter was off by only about .01 or so from my ET and trap was pretty close as well. I really recomend this thing for learning how to launch your car, it has helped me a ton in learning how to get my 60ft times down.
