Hey,
Which systems do you guys think will be the best for a cybernation stage1 which will eventually see stage 2. I want a full system from the downpipe to tip. Dont care for cats or anything. Just want a full race system.

Wait a couple of days and I will put up some pics of the new turbo back system from Thermal R&D. I made a post about that in here. Price is going to be around $700. Not sure of the gains but I think they will be better than my 210WHP that I made with a MagnaNoFlow.

Why do you keep bashing magnaflow's quality just because YOUR setup sucked ass....from what I've read you had a custom exhaust with some universal magnaflow muffler welded on the end, which was obviously not the correct muffler for your application...I don't own and have never owned any magnaflow products but I know they make good quality shit...

I'm not flaming you either, I'm just curious why you keep blaming the problem on the muffler being crappy, fact is, you picked the wrong muffler to use (or whoever picked it for you)

Well, Mr. Rocket Scientist. When I purchased the Magnaflow system. The guy selling it told me that it was a very good exhaust for my car. At the time, when I was NA it was in fact very good and I liked it. But, when the transformation to FI took place, I did not think about the exhaust aspect. I have only been dealing with import cars and aftermarket products for only 1 year. So, I might have had some ignorance when choosing the system and not switching when going FI. Only when it was pointed out that the muffler was my restrictor in power did I get upset about this problem. But, no matter. Come Friday, all will be good in my world. So, any other constructive points of criticism that you want to point out? :)

OK, but once again...was it related to magnaflow being of shitty quality? No, it wasn't. I'm not blaming you for being sold by some assclown who told you it was a good exhaust...all I'm trying to get you to do is to stop blaming magnaflow for your muffler being restrictive...when it wasn't related to the quality of the muffler...just that the one that was picked was wrong for the application. I too was once in your shoes, not knowing the ins and outs of imports or exhaust systems or forced induction...so it's ok, like I said I wasn't flaming you.

What my beef is, is the fact that it wasn't the manufacturer of the muffler's fault, so by blaming the manufacturer you are giving them a bad rep for something that is not under their control (you choosing a specific muffler)...therefore possibly making another n00b to imports automatically think "hey, magnaflow sucks" which isn't fair...and like I said I've never owned a magnaflow product or have any affiliation with them, just don't think it's fair to them...

Again, I never bashed Magnaflow on being "shitty". I just said that the system was not working in my favor and so I tagged it with MagnaNoFlow. Because, that was the case at that time. The exhaust was the restrictor. I even stated that while I was NA the Magnaflow system was very good, probably no gains to be seen, but I like the fitment, sound, and look. I would even recommend this system to someone looking for an exhaust. It sounds really nice at idle and even sorta growls at throttle. So I will say this to anyone reading. If you want a good quality exhaust system that is not going to break your bank then I suggest going with the Magnaflow line cat back systems. They are good quality, sound nice and look good on the RSX. Just remember when you decide to upgrade to more power you will want to rethink your exhaust system. Don't be like me and keep a NA cat back on a FI car.

Nossy, wdsonny already mentioned that he is not bashing on Magnaflow's quality or what ever...in fact, he liked it WHEN HE WAS NORMALLY ASPIRATED...but when he went with THE SUPERCHARGER, the exhaust was the main problem with the lack of power...
he is not saying "hey, maganaflow sucks" heis saying "heym magnaflow sucks, WITH THE SUPERCHARGER..." so i dont know why your are bitching at him...
and im not flaming you either...

He called it a magaNOflow...which to me is saying the muffler didn't flow well, and to a n00b or someone just coming into the conversation it might lead them to believe that magnaflow mufflers are shitty flowing and thus quality...that's what I was going off of...

When dealing with Forced Induction and the fact the muffler had an inside diameter of maybe 1.5 inches. Yeah, there was no flow. To a noob looking to go FI. Then they would be smart and research all the possibilities before buying something. Look at all the variables and then decide what to do. I apologize for calling the Magnaflow line "MagnaNoFlow". I was upset about the findings and for being ignorant when I purchased the system. It was a rash statement and I retract it.

Thank you...I wasn't expecting an apology just simply trying to point it out...like I said I wasn't trying to start a flame war, just trying to point out that maybe you should be aware of saying stuff like that...I realize everything you are saying about FI and NA and everything but not everyone does...(even though the muffler still might not have been optimal for NA)

Hey WDSonny, what exhaust did you switch too? I have the Magnaflow cat-back with the 4 inch tip and I am getting the JRSC street kit installed this Sat. Did the mangaflow make that much of a difference in performance? When you got the new exhaust, was the difference noticeable? That sucks because I just got this exhaust about 4 months ago and it looks like now I have to get a new one.
