So a few years ago my original k20a2 blew up and I replaced it with an 06 TSX (k24a2)

Couldnt drive the car for a while because it was leaking oil and the fuel pump was bad.

Finally got it fixed and started driving it around.

Tranny is now going bad. Going to have to replace it.

I spoke with someone at a shop and they told me that my tranny was bound to mess up because the torque on the k24a2 is too much for the old tranny I have in it.

Says that the Type R RSX with LSD would be a perfect fit and would last me a long time.

My question is.

Should I buy the Type R RSX tranny or should I look into buying a used k20a2 tranny?

Also, would the 06 TSX tranny fit into my RSX and worth without problems?

I would personally find another 6 speed from an RSX or a 5 speed from an EP3, if you're willing to give up the 6th gear. The type-s trans is just fine for the K24a2 and the type-r Integra (RSX) trans isn't any stronger.

If you're willing to spend type-r trans money, why not rebuild your with stronger gears? That would be even better IMO.
