I am selling my 2006 Acura RSX type S

Mileage currently is 115,845

Clean carfax. No accidents. Runs excellent.

Regular maintenance has been performed including a very recent alignment.

This car is in excellent shape inside and out.

Interior is like new.

The paint on the vehicle has been polished and coated with 22PLE. The gloss is phenomenal.


The reason for selling: I am now a proud owner of a S2000 and want to put all my focus on that vehicle now.

I love this car, however I can not justify having the RSX, S2000, and my CR-V.

I live in Worthington, Ohio.

I prefer a local sale.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Seats received leather conditioner on a regular basis.....this probably contributed to saving them from tears and/or rips.

I 100% know I will regret selling it. No feelings of sadness yet because it still sits in my garage. I am sure it will be surreal giving someone else the keys to it though....

Nice clean ride... i ended up doing the same as you but then regret it so much i just purcahsed a vbp last week... just cant go without it... ive tried for 2 years getting used to a diff cars but theybwere just not me... i went through a rare 6 speed tl type s super clean... 07 hr 350z and then back to this... sure yeah the other cars have their goodies as well but i didnt feel like myself driving them.. hard to explain till u go through it.. i hope your case is different... by the way on that last pic of the rear shock whats that greasy looking stuff ia that undercoating they spray on? Lmk thanks and best of luck

I feel ya. I think I will really regret selling the DC5 in a year or two.

I am in no hurry to sell, but it does not make financial sense for me to keep two garage non-daily vehicles.

I think the simplicity and practicality of the DC5 is hard to beat. I already miss having all the parts I sold.

Those add-ons made the car something more....it was a lot of fun and felt very refined.

Awhile back when I had the car on stands and all the undercarriage parts off, I used a black epoxy paint on certain areas by the wheel wells and trailing arms. Nothing fancy.

If this car is still on here in a few months, I might have to fly out there and buy it. Looking at new cars right now and not fully sold on most of them, and sadly my RSX will never be quite what I want it to be without a LOT of updating (+210,000 miles on all of it).

Well there is a first for everything!

Long story short....A man calls me to set up a time to meet and look at the RSX, we set a date and time that is compatible with our work schedules.....

He rolls up in his 2016 Porsche Cayman Black Edition ($60k MSRP)....um ok.

He wants a sporty, reliable, functional daily driver....well ok.

He looks at my car, expresses how he really notices how I kept it exceptionally clean...true statement

Then drives the car on the street and highway...complements how well it handles.

And after spending about 2 hours with me, decides to give me not one, but two different low ball offers.

End of story.

Damn that sucks! I think he should have ask you beforehand about the price of the car if he was going to lowball you that way he wouldn't have wasted your time. Come on, you drive a Cayman and can't fork out $10.5K for a well maintained RSX-S, what a looser.

I can't fault the guy for trying to save a few thousand dollars, however the way he did it was pretty distasteful...

I wish he just showed up in a beater instead of a 60k Porsche so it wouldn't have been as tacky. :thumbsdow

He even started to show off his Cayman when I just wanted to sell him my car.....I think he confused our meeting as a 'cars and coffee' gathering :wtf:

It is just one prime example of the weird events I have encountered trying to sell this car!

This was an auto trader customer. The craigslist stuff has been even more bizarre!

I actually feel pretty bad for used car sales representatives now!

I just have to laugh about it, otherwise I would just get pissed thinking about all my free time wasted.

Thank you. Yeah, it was interesting for sure, and it serves as a learning experience for me.

I think the combination of his age (mid to late 50s), and his 2016 Porsche fooled me into thinking he was going to have the money to buy my car as his "reliable work beater".
