Whats up guys, i just got my rsx-s runnin a couple weeks ago. I aquired it with a locked up engine and rebuilt it. Well i decided not to reinstall the a/c when i put the motor back in and searched for a while on which belt size to get and came up with no luck at all.
So i figured it out myself and found a 6 rib belt thats been working great.
Its from autozone - Duralast 537k6 is the size
That is for the k20a with power steering but no a/c
A k24 would be different due to different crank pulley size.
Just wanted to share this info with this site for anyone that wants to take their a/c out!

update:: Bought my car with the a/c not working, i live in an area where i don't need it. Been searching for the right belt size to do an A/C delete with everything all stock. I tried this belt size and it works perfectly. Good find. Route it like I pictured.

I heard rumor that there is a 70s model VW that will interchange and is 7V, starts with a C in the model name. I went to buy one, and there is like 3 different belts and I didnt want to screw with it. 6Vs work very well, and has less contact patch to help with hp loss due to more drag. Though wont amount to much, so I jsut stuck with the easy to find 6V.


Oh wait, I think the JDM DC5R is 7V, so if you can read Jap, or search for a part# you could get one from Honda that way.

Reopening old thread! But for a K24A2 swap, anyone know the belt size for after ac compressor removal?

Sorry,i dont know the size for ya. I believe the tsx has a smaller crank pulley so if your running ps i would say just buy a few belts around the size i posted and see what works. Thats what i did...or u can run a string around all the pulleys and measure it...

Works perfect! Been waiting for this also. My ac compressor pulley/clutch is shot and they dont make a rebuild kit, although compressor and ac work just fine, it started sounding so bad for a while it sounded like rod knock, making it so embarrassing I didnt go past about 2500 rpm.
Just make sure you get the belt all the way to one side or the other of all the pulleys otherwise it'll squeal. Bravo Hercules

Did you notice a diff in any performance gains by doing this?

Dont know if it would equal to more Hp to the wheels cuz of loss of rotation drag done by the ac.

i think this is half an inch shorter than the duralast.

Yes, the routing picture above has the belt on the ps but not the ac

I can vouch for the belt length and routing, I have done this identical mod and also am having great luck with it.
