2006 RSX-S
I’ve been trying to chase down a noise issue for weeks now. Originally I thought it may be the exhaust. I checked the exhaust clearance with both the EVO II and the stock pipes for clearance and there are no issues there at all. I went back to the stock pipes to eliminate that theory and I am still hearing the noise. I have gone 360 with this now and I am back to thinking it is the suspension.
I have searched but I did not find anything that fit this.
I had the A Spec kit installed about 1,000 miles ago.
The noise I am getting is hard to describe. It is rather faint but noticeable. I had two different people in the car today to listen to it and both said they think it is coming from the front passenger side suspension area. It sounds like something loads up and then is just let loose when I shift or cruising steady in between 3,000 and 4,200 RPM. I am think I am back to my original guess that the spring may be a little loose or something in that area is loose or not installed properly. I can not duplicate the sound while sitting only under load while driving. I put the car on stands today but could not feel any play in the springs though. It’s not really a knocking sound but does sound like something is hitting or rubbing. Again, this is a faint noise but noticeable.
Has anyone had any issues with the A Spec kit (Besides "it wasn't low enough") Does anyone have any guesses as to what this could be?
I am going back out to the garage to fool around some more and see if I can locate anything that may be loose.
