A Spec question... need help

I’ve been trying to chase down a noise issue for weeks now. Originally I thought it may be the exhaust. I checked the exhaust clearance with both the EVO II and the stock pipes for clearance and there are no issues there at all. I went back to the stock pipes to eliminate that theory and I am still hearing the noise. I have gone 360 with this now and I am back to thinking it is the suspension.

I have searched but I did not find anything that fit this.

I had the A Spec kit installed about 1,000 miles ago.

The noise I am getting is hard to describe. It is rather faint but noticeable. I had two different people in the car today to listen to it and both said they think it is coming from the front passenger side suspension area. It sounds like something loads up and then is just let loose when I shift or cruising steady in between 3,000 and 4,200 RPM. I am think I am back to my original guess that the spring may be a little loose or something in that area is loose or not installed properly. I can not duplicate the sound while sitting only under load while driving. I put the car on stands today but could not feel any play in the springs though. It’s not really a knocking sound but does sound like something is hitting or rubbing. Again, this is a faint noise but noticeable.

Has anyone had any issues with the A Spec kit (Besides "it wasn't low enough") Does anyone have any guesses as to what this could be?

I am going back out to the garage to fool around some more and see if I can locate anything that may be loose.

I wonder if it's the spring moving around on its perch?
The 02-04 aspec ss has a bad habit of the little rubber things around the top and bottom of the springs coming off. I think theyre supposed to keep the suspension from creaking.

I am taking the wheel and tire off here in minute. Hopefully I will see something simple.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this is an '06. I will add that to the OP.
Just "shaking" the rotor back and fourth (side to side on the car) the drive/half shaft on the passenger side is making the same exact noise that I am hearing.

Both sides seem to have a very small amount of play but the passenger side is making the noise even when I shake the driver’s side rotor.

I am guessing the drive/half shaft is out of whack or needs to be replaced. That is what the shop that installed my suspension said and I had to listen to the dealer instead.:firemad: I am so freaking pissed right now.

Any common reason that this may have occurred?

There is no way that the drive/half can be interpreted as an actual suspension piece right? So my warranty will cover it.
