I had never done it before.
My understanding is "JUST" (sounds simple...) taking off the tranny,
un-tide the nuts & bolts,
Taking the flywheel off,
put the new flywheelon,
tide up the nuts& bolts w/ touque as per repair manual,
and... that's it?
Any special tricks or skills?
Or any other things I missed or need to get more attention?

yep thats about it . dont forget to clean the flywheel when yor done to get any grease off of it..but you make it seem like its a 10 minute job it will take you a while to get the tranny out . esp if you have never done one

Yep. Pick up several cans, because you are in for a shock once you see the inside of the bellhousing.

I use the Honda crank pulley tool to hold the crank. You can either wedge it against something (less preferred) or have a second person hold it for you (preferred). Same deal while re-torquing.

Yeah, I know. I'm at 4.30 and will probably go down to 4.00 when I have the tranny rebuilt. I agree with you, however: If it were a track-only car, you need gears that low. Good luck.

i just pulled my tranny myself. ORGANIZE all the bolts as u pull them!!!! label everything u can. Check ur motor mounts i had to replace the front and rear.
