Is it possible to swap the base single din radio into the type s double din radio? I want to install a touchscreen radio into my BASE model.

Of course it’s possible, it’s the same as any other stereo installation. You’re talking about two different things though. Type S didn’t come with a touchscreen lol. Just swap the panel or remove the pocket in the factory panel and stick the stereo in there.

Hey, if you need the metra double-din kit and/or harness I have both in good condition. I didn't like the texture of the metra double din surround so I also have the Acura double din surround so you could decide whichever look your prefer. Only installed in my car for a few months before someone turned into my lane of travel totaling my car.
