that 18hp is bullshit, straight BS. Thats just something they use to sell more products. I have the V2 the gains and the sound are noticable, but more like 10hp. Its a good product but its real only for you if you are worried about hydrolock. If you are lookin for all out performance then go with a CAI. Its better for SC apps too. There has also been some talk of its ineffectivity with mods to the intact tract, ie the hondata IMG. Edo though has said that with good tunning he thinks that the V2 could still make power. I might be lookin to go SC later, is anyone lookin to trade a CAi for my v2. Only have about 2k miles on it and I still have the box it came in.

I have a v2, not really happy with the results from it (was expecting more out of it),i think later on down the line i might switch over to a cai instead.

i thought that the V2 was a cold air? u said that it feels like about 10 hp increase, thats about what u would get from a cold air, so wouldn't this be better cause u don't have to worry about sucking up any water into ur engine. sorry about the stupid question but whats heat soak?

Don't ever believe dynos from a manufacturer.

Heat soak is when the air in your engine bay gets hot and the intake starts sucking in hot air instead of cold air. This is the traditional difference between a CAI and SRI. The V2 is not a CAI, despite what its packaging may say.

It's been shown several times by ClubRSX members that real CAIs outperform it. The V2 has the easy install and no fear of hydrolocking going for it, that's all.

I use it and I'm happy with it, but you should have realistic expectations.

If your looking for some good gains, and don't want to have the worry of hydrolocking then go V2. It sounds awesome, and you'll feel a little gain of power....it's not going to give you 500 horsepoewr like a clubrsx sticker, so don't expect it. Also, Edo is a pimp, and he said with some tuning, he thinks the V2 can make more power so keep that in mind...

i installed my V2 yesterday w/ a couple of my friends.......ya i wouldnt trust the 18.5.....id say maybe more around 12 hp too but i noticed it more in the mid range before i hit vtec, once i hit vtec it screams loud enough that the lack of 5 hp doesnt make that much of a difference to me

I love my Injen CAI. It sounds great and the power gain was significant. I live in Arizona...in a city that averages 3 inches of rain per year (almost true). If you are worried about hydrolock, just get the V2. The Hondata intake manifold gasket is supposed to help with heat soak...get that too:thumbsup:

i won't believe that an intake gasket will add power, the air going through the intake mani cant absorb enough heat because of how fast its going through there to make any difference in power

the dyno graph on the aem sight says that rsx-s gets an 18.5 hp increace on the V2
does anybody have the intake on their car without any other mods? does it actually feel like 18.5 hp, is it worth the $230?
AEM says that so people will buy it. Its not even a cai its an SRI and its only sucking warm air. So the heatsoak will kill the car.:spin:

The gasket has been shown to add a few HP and lbs of torque throught the power band. it's the best Hp/$$ mod out there. The only draw back is the 2 hr install time. Nothing too hard though.

does anybody have a dyno chart of the hondata gasket only, no other mods, compared to stock?

aem claims 18.5 from the intake, which is not true but i do find more believable then the 5 hp gain from an intake gasket

V2 will probably take away a little on the mid range, but it will gain on the top end.. by few horses..

that's what i've noticed..
