That's what it's suppose to do. Mine doesn't really sweep back and forth. First start the car and it runs towards the rich side. Eventually it falls into the Stoich. Acceleration is towards the rich side and when I shift, it drops down to the lean and blank and then it'll pick back up to the rich or stoich range. Not an exact gauge really. It's pretty much for looks. I wouldn't really stare at it too much and try to interpret it.
