Hey I just picked up this Q300 for my 06 type-S and decided to do a little review with some pics and videos.

Unboxing: The Q300 was packed well and is pretty compact, being as it is in three sections instead of two. It shipped with bolts and gaskets. No instructions came with the system, but lets face it, if you need instructions for a catback then you should probably have someone else do it.

Removal Of Stock Exhaust:
My car has 80k on it and the stock exhaust was a PITA to remove, especially the three bolts from the midpipe to the cat. I soaked them with PB blaster and no luck. One thing I noticed was that another review on here said that the three bolts were 14mm, but on my car they were 13mm. I had to disconnect the cat at the header and drop the whole assembly, then cut off the bolts with a hacksaw and hammer out the studs. I would imagine that if you live in salty winter areas and your car has more that 20-30k on it, you will probably have to do the same.

Installation:
Exhaust fit perfect and went on smoothly. No complaints there!

Impressions: The Q300 has a very subtle tone as you can see in the video. At low RPMs you can really make it drone but in vtec with the AEM v2 it sounds very smooth and low. The system is not raspy at all. The exhaust is subtle enough to be pretty stealth but loud enough so that other people can tell you have an exhaust.

Here is a video I made of before and after:

does it drone?
under load in low gears it does a bit, but its not terrible. Cruising on the highway is close to stock in 6th.

oh hell yes...another q300 review...been waiting for it...more pix plz....maybe a full rear shot??...
I will work on getting some more full rear shots-- my car is super dirty so I was trying to minimize that:)

butt dyno does feel a little power bump but nothing huge. I wasn't expecting any noticeable power increase so I am happy with it.

Hey Guys, I'm trying to decide on where to buy this exhaust from, but I see multiple different prices on different sites and wondered all of your opinions on the vendor choice. Below if a few links that I have found:

$730---> http://wotm.com/store/account/shoppingcart.aspx?itemid=567329

$509---> http://www.amazon.com/Invidia-Exhau...d=1368743534&sr=1-2&keywords=invidia+q300+rsx

$509---> http://www.wesellcarparts.com/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=9072

$494 with PromoCode "SpringSavings" and has free shipping!!![/B http://www.tunersports.com/shopping-cart.php

What do you guys think about that 494 or the rest?!

I know this is an old thread, but were you able to fit the given bolts onto the catalytic converter given its angled nature? The OEM bolts/studs are too short to fit the nut on with the q300 midpipe.
