Hi,

I just got a RSX yesterday and new to this webpage, and would like to put in a double DIN GPS system. My friend had one of the older Pioneer and I like it. The only problem with that is that when hooked up to the iPod, and the song title is in Chinese, Japanese or Korean, it doesn't show anything on the screen as it doesn't display Asian Language.

Is there a unit out there that does GPS, iPod connectivity with control on screen, Bluetooth and display Asian characters? The menu and stuff can be in English, but I just want my Asian music folder name/track name to be displayed so I can navigate in the music correctly.

Thanks.

Alpine's are the only units I know of off the top of my head that would display Asian and I am not sure that the nav units would, it was the Ipod only units that did.

Really in order to get that you need a APR unit as they do not build that functionality into units for the US market as there in not enough of a call for it.

Thanks,

I checked on Alpine and it doesn't display as well. Oh well, hopefully one of these years they will make it to display all languages.
like I said you can try and buy a unit for the JDM market, you would need a frequency shifter for the antenna to get FM stations but I doubt you will see US market units with this functionality as there just is not a large enough call for it and it costs more to add it to a unit. You may want to see if Eclipse units will do it as they would be the only other manufacturer that may but it also may only be on their highest end as well.
