Attempting interior swap. Need some Advice

So I am attempting an interior swap today. I read somewhere before that you dont have to remove the dash frame to swap out the dashboard. I have the helms manual which said you have to remove the dash frame first and then the dashboard.:dontknow:

I have to say. My car doesnt have any of those problems like most rsx has(infamous Pop-out, dashboard rattle) its just that if I attempt to do a swap, My whole car wouldn't be factory anymore. Im debating if the end result of a black interior would be worth the problems develop later on.

I brought the previous question up because I want to taking out the entire dash without the frame. Anybody know if I can just take the cover off without the frame?

well swaping dashboards wont give you the infamous tranny problems, however you cant be guaranteed that you wont have any rattles afterwards. Its just luck and how you assemble everything. Just be careful and make sure to tighten everything down correctly. Plus its worth it, black interior is sick....
You can't take the cover off the dash because there is no cover. It's all in one piece - believe me, I've done a full interior swap on my RSX. It's no easy task, but it was extremely worth it in the end.
i am in the progress of doing my, all i need to do is my dash but i heard its the biggest bitch of the whole interior swap.....well GL with yours:thumbsup:
Done with it except for oen more panel. The dashboard was a pain in the ass. Total day for the swap was 3 day. I will post up pics once I finish the little stuff.
my dash rattles like a bitch now since i did an interior swap. i GUESS it was worth it.

and for anyone wondering, the dash is the only "hard" piece. the rest of hte interior takes about 1.5 hours to swap.
i did mine ya it was a bitch but nuting rattles at all.....hehe
meh, i didn't think the dash was all that bad, except swapping the VIN's. I actually found the console to be the most annoying part, since I had to take it out like 3 times, and since i've got an auto, it always catches on either the dash or the shift lever.
I actually just finished my dash swap today... It took 9.5 hrs total. >_< This included taking the dash and dashbeam out, disconnecting that and disconnecting the black dash from it's dash beam and reassembling my dash beam with the black dash....and then reinstalling.....god.

Make sure you itemize every single harness connector. I can't find one SRS connector that goes behind the center console, and my radio isn't working anymore....need to figure that shit out without taking the dash back out >_<

....I dremeled my VIN tag out and double side tapped it over the black dash's VIN....lols.
wen i did my dash swap it took me 6 hours.. thats removing my tan one and swapping the wiring harness onto the black one and reinstalling.. jus have alot of patience!
