the si/sir's vtec sounds the same as the type-s's.... so i've heard!

The Civic Si has the exact same engine as the Base RSX minus the intake manifold. The VTEC function is used only for economical benefits. I believe the Si-R is equipped with the K20A2, hence the fact that the VTEC function is the same as the RSX-S. :wavey:

Type R (JDM) has the K20A2.

I have the new sir...so far I've takin' 2 base model RSX's...still more to own. Our v-tec is at 2200rpm's and thats it.(k20A3)
