So I am in Wisconsin as some of you who have talked to me may now know. While I was out at a couple of antique/thrift stores I found this sweet Old Style beer tap. I decided to make a shift knob out of it.

So, I took the bottom part off of it (not pictured), bought an SAE coupling nut, a drill bit, a tap, and a tee, and threaded it out to m12-1.5.

Then I widdled out the inside of the beer tap and fit the nut in with some Loctite super glue.

And viola! :weeeeeeeeee:

It makes throwing shifts so much easier. After auto crossing and realizing that you're not going out of second for most of the course anyway to save shifting time, a short throw really is unnecessary. Also, it's probably easier on the syncros because you're not shortening your shift time, you're lengthening it by a little by increasing your throw.

Thanks

Thought I'd get hated on because of the amount of stance kids who do this and stuff but when I saw this in an antique shop I thought it'd be sweet.
Well you actually autocross your car so you actually drive the car for what it was made for........... don't worry about hellagay haters, there all 16yrs old and have nothing else better to do :rotfl:
