I would go with this wing and taillight combo it's pretty much a tough RSX starter kit. Also check pepboys, it's the tough wip superstore

There is no such thing as a rsx starter kit..

Its more like, are you going to mod your car the cheap tasteless way? (copy everyone else and buy fake Mugen stuff).

Mod it the smart way? (buy authentic used parts and or get creative...)

or the IDGAF expensive way? (if you have the money and plan for a high end build)

What's the "tough whip" way tho? :chuck:

Yes! And a nice hood scoop would offset that large spoiler, adding to the toughness.

Jokers in here man...

This is the answer.

1-A tough car is built to handle the road so get some used 17s or 18s put meaty tires on it. $400-$800
2- Low is Tough, Replica chargespeed front and sides $300, 2.5- for a lower look get eibach pro-kit $150
3- cut rear bumper so it doesn't trap air in the rear and looks track tough. -free
4-Tint- tough cars don't want you seeing the tough driver $150
5-Put a Gracie jujitsu sticker in your rear window. And practice jujitsu and MMA $15

This is minimal. but as spray2020 said decide where you want to end up first.

Look stock and get kpro and a turbo and you will be tough to beat.

If it was me with an 06 base model. I'd buy the following:

Type R side skirts
Type R high spoiler or rock the decklid
Type R Kouki tail lights (a must for 05-06 models)
Type R side markers
LED lights for the rear plates
HID lights for the front lights
Lower on a nice stable suspension
17s with some good tires

And call it a day. That's just me personally. I think the 05-06 model is already sex without mods. You can probably purchase everything I said under $1,000 if you look in the right places.

When you have nothng else done to the car, personally I think a Type-R/A-spec wing will help the aesthetics the most. After you've got a good lip kit (A-spec, Type-R, Mugen, etc) or bumpers (BYS, J's Racing, etc) and the car is lowered on nice 17" or 18" wheels, the wing can be removed depending on your tastes.

Just take a look around the show off threads and pick out parts you like. It's all already been done, unless you have the skill and ability to make custom pieces.

If it was my 06 model. I'd buy the following & rebuild my base auto:
minor engine mods (intake, headers, exhaust etc.)
05 06 type r front lip
1st gen mugen side skirts
aspec rear
Type R high spoiler with gurney flap
Type R Kouki tail lights (a must for 05-06 models) :hb:
side markers
LED lights everywhere in & out
HID lights or simple retros (retrofitted headlights)
Lowered on coils (not drop springs) or stay on air but a more simplier managment
18s with good tires
& simple sounds setup (amp, subs, tweeters) imo theres a reason why we run bose lol

That's just me. this model is in my words "non-stop modify'able"
just when ordering parts "what dc5luis said" look in the right places.
:p
