Best way to go for gearbox for boosting base model rsx

I am no expert, but I have heard of some people who would trade their Type S 6-speeds for Base 5-speeds because they are better for boost, something to do with a longer third gear. I could be wrong though, so I would do more research, the answer you’re looking for is likely somewhere in these forums. Other than that an upgraded clutch to handle the extra power is a good investment.
