i work at a local shop around here. today was a slow day and we decided to dyno my car after we had finished this turbo'd S2000 (463 whp). to make a long story short, my current mods are an Injen CAI and Tanabe SRM.

Wheel HP: 192

we did seven runs with her. first run yeilded 186 whp at 7400rpms and 192 at 7980.

flame all you want im scanning the dyno sheets tomarrow.

BTW: measured crank hp was 247.029 @ 7916.950rpms and 110mph. measured tq: 163.852 @ 7916.950 rpms and 110mph.

all runs were performed on our only dyno, a chassis dyno. pics of the shop will be taken to verify that it is indeed a chassis dyno.

There's no flaming needed, all dynos are different and produce different numbers. Yours just so happens to be 192. If you went to another dyno I bet you wont get the same numbers, it might be less it might be more. Dynos are a good tool to determine the amount of hp a mod does and not a good tool to show that your car is a freak or fast or powerful. It would be more interesting to see the change in hp your car gained from the two mods you have.

need proof? dynos dont lie. we ran the car numerous times on different calibration to simulate that of other dynos. 192WHP was the LOWEST record run except for the intial run of 186whp @7400rpms.

the manufacturer of the dyno is the oldest is the world. rank number one and used since the 1940s(this dyno is fairly new) to check for emissons. the dyno is a CLAYTON VTT ( Vitrual Test Track) and gives more than HP and TQ readings but also emissson readings, load reading, ect.

if you need anymorew proof than what i will provide tonite (dyno sheets) then i invite you to bring your car down for a few runs.

have a nice day.

I dont need any proof because I could care less that your numbers come out to 192. I would be more interested in what your 192 hp S can do on the track with your stated mods. Now that is real virtual track testing.

dont worry. you'll get plenty of flames around here. just as i'm quicker than most people here with hondata, you have more power with folks do with hondata or race header with other bolt-ons. whatever though. i'm fast thats all i care about :wavey:

Dude, I don't think you understand what anyone's point was in response to your dyno numbers.

You got a 192whp and 160+torque, good for you!

But the fact is, dyno's are only good for one thing: comparing mods and the gains you get for them.

192whp doesn't mean much of anything and you should know that...take it to the track and come back with a fist full of high 13 second slips and then it'll mean something. I mean, you should be able to hit that with 192whp, right? So, go do that and then your amazing numbers will actually mean something.

i didnt make 160 wheel torque. that was made at the crank. i really dont have an interest in the track but i guess i can make a run down there as soon as the rain lets up. the only problem is the closest track is an 1/8 miles track and the closest 1/4 track is moroso, which is about a 3 hour drive form here.

Good graciousness

I going to have to try that dyno. I am getting the Comptech race header to replace my JR raceheader would love to see my car at 300hp to the crank when I dyno tune again. Hell, I am only making 205.5 whp with all my mods shit all I needed was the CAI and Tanabe!

racing seat belts ....... that's better than any boost out there (+57hps and 69ft.lb torque!)

anyway... yes, I believe smaller wheels would make the car quicker in a way ....... at least the Subaru WRC car uses only 15" wheel ... dunno about the other WRC cars ....
