hi guys...i got the cali duster a while ago (maybe 4months) & left it on newspaper for 2days....lot of wax came off on the newspaper....but when i use the duster, i cant see the wax on the body of the car but when i dust the windows, OMG....windows have all these streaks of wax & i always end up cleaning the windows which is a pain for a lazy ass like me....does this happen to anyone else? maybe i should try leaving on newspaper for few days?
That waxy stuff is paraffin, I think, and it's used to help stick dust to the duster. To prevent leaving any waxy residue, make sure your car is not hot, and dust it in a cool area. That way the paraffin won't "melt" onto your car when you dust it. Works for me.
it happens on mine still - and its almost 2 years old - but thats when its really hot.
just put it on the paper again, keep changing the position, and it will take more off. . .
get a detail spray to take care of the wax trails . . . it might add 5 minutes to thw whole job, but well worth it
a good detail spray enhances and proterts the paint finish products it is designed for . . .
