can you post some more info about it, i'm in rochester ny and wouldn't mind driving several hours to start the season a little early :)
what kind of info would you like? directions, cost, course layout? i've been there twice, so i can give you a little info.

check out this website, autox4u.com , and go to the philly winter series or south jersey section for more info about the camden races.

here's a more direct link to the philly winter series page... http://www.autox4u.com/philly/phillysnow.htm

i found the directions (kinda confusing but i think i can figure it out)... how about cost, etc?

thx for the links!
i think the link says its $25, but i remember only paying $20
just bring some extra cash just in case ;)

have you ever autoX'd before? if not, from looking at your mods, you'll probably be in STS (maybe GStock, depends on who checks you in sometimes) with most of the RSX's that show up, along with a shitload of 2.5 RS's and WRX's.

the course layout was different the two times i went, but i think dimka.m posted a pic of the course from the last event. i'll link it when i find it.

there are usually 4 heats, starting around 10 am. if you run in the first, you work the 3rd... run in the 2nd, you work the 4th and vice versa. working is just standing on the course (in a safe spot) picking up cones that are hit, calling in for off course cars and making sure everything is safe for you and the drivers, or you may be in the truck or scanning in the barcodes for the cars in the staging area... simple stuff, just to help out. also, depending on how many cars are running, you'll probably get 4 or 5 runs in. first time i went there were 117 drivers and we got 5 runs. last time there were 180 drivers and we got 4 :(

you can ride with an instructor if you ask, they are more than helpful and really friendly. all you have to do is ask.

get there a little on the early side so you can beat the line to check in and get a chance to walk the course at least once.

if you have a helmet, bring it. otherwise you have to use one of the gay, hot pink helmets they have. its free to use the helmet, too.

if you have done this before, i've just done a lot of typing for no reason... sorry  . maybe there's a first timer out there that'll find this helpful :spin:

it will be my first time actually - i consider myself a decent "Driver" but i'm expecting to be humbled, surprised, embarased, etc. I am also planning to run like DSPN because i'll have wheels/tires that won't let me run stock (plus my intake)... but that means my stupid wheels/tires need to show up, i'm not running on my show tires :p

thanks for the info, i'll also pass it on to a couple of non-rsx people i know around here who might be free this weekend :)

Even though Auto X is exciting but if you are coming from rochester, ny only to do it. My suggestion is you should not come. Not worth it.

I drove to rochester before, it's about 5 hours. so round trip is about 10 hours and all those for less than 5 minutes action :shakehea:

Find your local SCCA chapter and do auto x in your area.

If it is a track day, that's different story.

Yes, I use SS since i do not want it to shift up while slowing into the corner than sence full throttle & delay shifting back down. Last time I kept it in 2 after coming off the start. this time I kept it in 1st untilafter 2nd turn, since they were a box folloewed by a slow sweeper. The back straight/ slalom was a 2nd arear then the end were 2 boxs then to the finish. I tried going to 1 st at several diff spots but not really satisfied I picked the best point. The course was getting slippier. I was hitting the F/C sometimes.
