It's cheap to mod it out, what are talking about. $150 for a used CAI, $350 for a used DCRH, $400-500 for a used K100. Find a friend to let you borrow his K-pro to set your K100 up for your tune. Done, you've got like 50whp more than what you started with. All for under $1000. That's like $20 per hp. You should be borderline 13's on just that.

It's just like magnesium stated (below). Ok, so it's 210whp with a tune+intake+header+K-Pro+exhaust. Exhaust is like 3-5whp, so you can reduce it to 205-207whp. A tune will mostly help you high end, not so much midrange. You might get 3-5whp peak, so reduce it to 200-204whp. An 02-04 Type-S that started at 165 (best case) going to 200-204 whp, that's a 35-39whp gain.

Ok, so maybe I'm off by 10whp, no big deal. I was rounding up, badly, but I was rounding. 35-39whp is a 21% gain in hp (165x0.21=35). 21% is HUGE! What if our car began with 21% more from the factory, that would be 242HP! That's an S2000. Better even, the S2000 weighs 60lbs more. Also, try adding 21% to an S2000, no way, won't happen without boost.

Ok, now add in an RBC manifold which will run $400 installed with a Hondata IMG. That will push it another 7whp. So, he'd have a 42-46whp gain, all for $1400. Hows that? You have nearly the 50whp, I was talking about, for $1400 in bolt ons.

pretty close though lol

I'm sure im at about 160-165 stock and I now have 195

thats 30-35 in gains to the wheels with just i/rh/ex

kpro will be even more, and a tune i should be at 210 at least

but then again, that post was for a base which I am clueless about :)
You obviously missed the post from Jo-Bash.
