I was jus wondering if its a bad idea to have a carbon fibre hood wit a hood scoop durin the winter...like if the snow gets into the engine wud anything happen? cuz i kno someone thats selling it for a 100 bux so i mite want to buy it this friday n get it installed.....wud it be a good idea to do it?? :D

shouldn't be a problem. hood scoop will be directly above your engine block, no?

unless it's above the alternator or electrical, you should be fine.

Your engine runs pretty hot it should melt away any snow. If anything I think driving in heavy rain would be worse and I've done it. I would be more concern with extreme cold weather affecting the CF material.

im jus worried about if my car is parked and it snows really hard....that theres gonna be a huge pile of snow in the engine

You'll be fine, I had an evo style hood on my Tibby and snow n rain was in my engine bay constantly. Just makes it dirtier, no real harm!

hey i jus thought....does the carbon fiber hoods come wit the slots for the windshield washer fluid to squirt out?:confused:
