CF Hatch installed, shocks problem

795 Views 24 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  1st red ts
I just got my Vis cf hatch installed last weekend, and the shocks seems to be to strong for the lightweight hatch. because it's really hard to close and the trunk sticks open little. i wonder if i need some light duty shocks for it?? since those shocks are designed for the factory heavy hatch.

OMG....ok this shit happened to my friends cf trunk...when u have both shocks on the trunk starts to curve up cause of the shocks and the sun....and when u use one shock it it looks off cause one shock is pushing on one side then ur trunk just stays like.....

look its realy hard to explian....JUST DONT use the shocks OK....lol
Yeah I've heard that before about the stock shocks. I'm not using any on mine either!
so just use my hand to hold it up, lol it's not too heavy ;-)

yea i thought mine was just messed up, then i took the shocks off and it fits smooth with the body lines now. Its kinda too late though b/c i have cracks in it now :(
DAM MAN THAT SUXS BALLS...see guys thats the shit im talkin about......
ahwww thats why mine doesn't sit right! errr i thought it just needed to be adjusted. I will take the shocks off after work and hopefully its not warped too badly :(

PS I like your avator ^^^ haha
hahaha...ya man hadle that shit....lol thanks
took out my shocks and it def sits lower now. When you take off the right shock thought there is a wire ring thing around the bolt, what is this for? Does this need to be grounded?
