Yesterday my 2006 Acura RSX Type-S decided to not start. I cranked it an uncountable amount of times and no joy no matter what I tried. Ended up replacing the starter and still got nothing. Decided to push the car to get it to start and fortunately it started right up into first gear. After that I noticed the car wouldn’t shift into Reverse which had never been a problem before as well as the clutch pedal only coming halfway up, just before the engage point. After a little muscle it did pop into reverse and could shift into any gear just fine. Drove it all the way home and the clutch pedal would stick sometimes and other times come all the way back up but seemed to be shifting normal and wasn’t slipping. Once I got it home I turned the car off and it still refuses to start. This problem seemed simple to me at first but now that I know the transmission is involved with the starting issue (I assume they’re related anyway) I’m at a lose here.
