Hey all I rear ended an Avalon and pretty much fucked up my front bumper. Don't feel like telling the story; just saying dont fall asleep (even for 5 seconds) when driving.

Anyways, im fucked on insurance and all that shit and I have to repair the car myself. I need getting the car rolling. I've popped the hood and saw all the parts I need to repair.

List of parts I think I think I need:
  • Radiator support
  • Hood
  • Front bumper
  • Driver side fender
  • Drive side headlight
  • Radiator
  • AC coolant
  • Latch
  • Hood hinges
  • Headlight support
  • Bottom/Upper head light support

What I need input on:
1) Any other parts I may need to buy that I missed on my list
2) Someone PM me a manual or something that shows all the parts on the front; so I can match them up
3) Any other input on where to start collecting parts and kinda a direction

after months of waiting, and pouring cash.. its done

thanks broo!
Wow... This is going to be a heavy DIY.

Once you get all that carnage out of the way, I'm thinking it still may require a quick trip to the local body shop for some minor tweaking, but let us know.
glad to hear that you are okay but dang this is why i pay sooooo much for insurance on my rsx.
**DO NOT BUY OR SELL ANYTHING TO THIS GUY. I SOLD HIM SOME HEADLIGHTS AND HE'S NOW TRYING TO REVERSE HIS PAYPAL PAYMENT TO ME WITHOUT SAYING A WORD TO ME. IF HE DIDN'T LIKE THEM HE COULD HAVE JUST RETURNED THEM AND I'D GIVE HIM HIS MONEY BACK.... INSTEAD HE'S TRYING TO SNEAK A REVERSE PAYMENT!! DON'T TRUST THIS ***.

what a ***
hood latch T bar
ac condensor

idk man, thats a lot of work
you know the radiator support is spot welded into place right?
GL, hope everything works out man
"pretty much F*cked up your front bumper" is an understatement..

My advice ....

Fix it and sell it

It will never be the same
Are you sure that is everything that is damaged? have you had a chance to put it in the air and check everything out? the driver side front suspension could also be damaged.
shouldnt be that bad to fix. Hardest part is taking off the radiator support.
There is a possibility of a bent lower control arm, or nuckle depending on how hard/far back the hit went.
why can't you get insurance to fix it? That damage looks SIGNIFICANT, unless your a professional body shop mechanic, I wouldn't even waste my time and MONEY. Seriously, no point in getting all these parts unless you are ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENT you can put all these parts in no problem. I think your list of parts that you need is only about half as long, you still need need a new front bumper and all the bumper supports, and a ton of other stuff. Not to mention the fact that you'll probably find even more damage once you remove the carnage. IMHO, I would leave this to a professional.
