I have a 02 RSX type s with a 04 tsx motor and I was told ecu matches motor. My question is the throttle body doesn't match up right with intake. I have replaced tps and everything went great for about 100 miles then iacv cel popped up. Tried cleaning it up myself and that didn't work. I can't seem to find the same iacv. They all seem to have 1 water port and mine has 2. Any help would be appreciated.

Probably should post pictures to give ppl a better shot at helping. But based off what you've mentioned my guess is you have a full K24A2 engine mated to your type-S transmission and possibly have the rsx type s throttle body mated via adapter plate to K24 manifold? If that is the case then I believe you would just be replacing the iacv with a type s one and not a tsx K24 one. Also I'm not sure if that is even possible to use the tsx ecu plug n play into rsx. You likely have a K-pro or K tuner ecu. I suggest removing the ecu and looking for yourself and post those pics as well. If you have one of those chipped ecus (which you likely do) then you should be able to fix iacv settings in software if i'm not mistaken. Hopefully someone here with more tuning exp will be able to help you out there.

Thanks for the info. I will get pics tomorrow. But there is no adapter for TB.
It was "modified" to fit. And I'll check on the ECU as well.

Ok so did some checking on ecu it is a rsx piece. No other labels other then one in pics. The TB has been thrown back on as you can see. Guess this is what I get for buying a "project". And only two of the TB bolts fit the manifold. I have the chance to pick up a intake and TB off a k20a2 maybe that will help?

I'd have to do some more digging but if I remember correctly. You can use the K20 intake manifold on k24 head BUT you need to use a adapter plate for the coolant recirculation. As for the ECU can you remove the top plate (4 screws) and see the motherboard inside to check if it's been chipped? You can also maybe just look at the back of it to check if you see a plug outlet.

The pics I attached are a hondata kpro ecu (red board) and ktuner ecu.

On the kpro ecu you can see the plug outlet on outside of ecu (the plug outlet is to the left of that bottom mounting bracket.)

On the k tuner there is a small notch on the ECU for the USB cord to fit through you can kinda see it in the pic if you follow the cord.

New problem lol, I found the rear transmission mount is missing a bolt. Would that cause a clunking when Accelerating or when letting off the gas pedal. Thanks for any input.

It most certainly could cause clunking. It's not secured lol.
Could also be your compliance bushings. Take a peak at those while you're down there.

Ok So my compliance bushings/ bearings are shot looks like ball joints need replaced fun fun and here is a pic of the inside of the ECU looks pretty stock to me
Ok that may be the cause of issues. lol It's highly recommended to use Kpro or some kind of tuning to accommodate the K24 (and regular bolt ons for that matter). I think the type S ecu may allow you to drive but it likely isn't driving well cause the ecu is based for a smaller displacement/higher revving engine. I'd definitely look into purchasing Kpro or Ktuner or at least seeing if you can get a flash tune or something.

take a look at this thread when you get a chance it may offer a little more insight
