diiff b/w 02 - 04 exhaust - 05 +

liek title says jw if there are any diff. from the 02 - 04 exhaust and the 05+ exhaust.. i hear alot of people saying the 05+ is better than most aftermarket as well as the 02 - 04 and was jw why that is.. thnks for all repsonses!!

Because the diameter of the piping is larger. I believe someone had cut one open and the muffler appeared to be from that of a Type R. It's been a while so the details are a bit cloudy. If you search around a bit around the time when the 05s just came out you will definitely find some information.
To say the stock 05/06 exhaust is as good as most aftermarket I think would be an incorrect statement...

it is good for a stock exhaust though and better the 02-04

A lot of people don't know any better. The '05-'06 exhaust is 1/8" larger but has an ID that's still under 2 inches. The muffler is slightly less restrictive, but it doesn't share the Type-R design. The ITR has a flap that opens on the inlet piping whereas the '05-'06 Type-S has a perforated tube.

pretty much the 05+ is more free flowing than the 02-04, and is a cheap upgrade for 02-04 owners if you can bum one off of a 05+ owner for cheap.
