This is just some quick information of how you can run a 90° 3.5in short ram cold air intake on your RSX.

IF YOUR BATTERY IS IN THE STOCK LOCATION THIS WILL NOT WORK

Looking above the intake manifold all I did was install a 3in to 3.5in silicone coupler (blue), running to a 90° 3.5in pipe (red), thats capped by a 3.5in injen air filter. (not visible)

The pipe dimensions are 6inches in length, 6 inches in height. This is not including the bend of your pipe. Total length including the bend is about 22 inches total.

About 4.5 inches away you can see the intake temperature sensor, circled in gold. I drilled a hole out of the side with a tree bit and fit a rubber grommet in between to let the sensor sit in.

To cap the crankcase port, I put a breather filter on it. You can do the same for the air intake bypass, but I just capped it. If you cap it your motor will just take longer to reach operating temp in cold conditions.

The air filter is highlighted in green, sits about 2 inches above the subframe to lower control arm mount. I will be making another writeup to make a custom airbox/splash guard as its vulnerable here.

I’ll be continuing this thread to show more detailed instructions and power gains after tuning later on.
