Replace air cleaner element every 30,000 mi/48,000 km (independent of time).

B.S. Work:
Inspect front and rear brakes.
Inspect tie-rod ends, steering gearbox and rack boots.
Inspect suspension components.
Inspect driveshaft boots.
Check parking brake adjustment.
Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS).
Check all fluid levels, condition of fluids and check for leaks.
#Inspect exhaust system.
#Inspect fuel lines and connections.
# = See information on maintenance and emissions warranty, last column, page 199 in your owner's manual.
Check all lights.
Inspect the underbody.
Inspect and adjust drive belts.

Just FYI. $450 isn't horrible, but just be aware of what you are actually paying for.

Changing the tranny fluid is the only thing that is a bit awkward to do in your driveway.

All the "easy work" is just that.

All the B.S. is just "inspections". They probably don't even actually do any of it specifically. Just a quick poke around the underside.

LOL @ Mr. Moneywaster.

I TOLD Acura it was a ripoff and 2 dealerships agreed. I did the tranny fluid myself. I had them do brake fluid cause I wanted it done.

I did everything else myself which is more than they probably would have done. The service guy at my dealership said I could probably handle it all myself and the service guy where I bought the fluid by my parents house said I was smart for doing it myself instead of paying $$$$$$$$$ to have it done.

Good luck with that though... coulda saved yourself about $350

however often the manual says. I'm probably gonna do mine in 30K intervals.

But if you do a search you will probably see all kinda answers. Follow the manual for the longest you should wait between intervals. You could probably subtract 5-10K from whatever the service schedule says and do it that often.

I do mine every other oil change--every 14K mi. Is that too few? I guess I could do mine every 3rd oil change...

Did you get that list from our car manual? Does that apply to an 06 RSX-S as well?

BTW I found this on another website sourced from http://www.honda-acuraspecialist.com/maint.htm

  • Oil and filter change
  • Air filter is checked
  • Inspect front and rear brakes, clean, lube and adjust
  • Tires are rotated
  • Valve adjustment ( 4 cyl only )
  • Coolant is changed
  • Transmission fluid changed
  • Brake fluid changed
  • Spark plugs changed ( non platinum every 30k, platinum every 60k  )
  • Visually safety check
Is the ones marked in red necessary as well? I can do the main ones listed but not the valve adjustment, coolant, and brake fluid change lol
