For those of you who have run new speaker wires.....
On the front doors did you go through the rubber boot between the car and the door
OR
Just run the wires next to the boot and tuck between boot and door?

I went through the boot, only way I would do next to it would be drilling a hole and using a rubber grommet and techflex to protect as you run the risk of cutting into the wire over time doing it any other way and that could short out your equipment.

Thanks Loco, I guess I am up for the challenge! Any "how to" advice would be appreciated.

Got the interior prepped, power wire run, tomorrow I will make the speaker wire runs + connectors. Then fun with the doors.

Blessed! To my pleasant surprise routing through the boot was much easier than I anticipated. Wires all ran. I need to decide if I am going to use the stock location or the a-pillar for the tweeters

It's been at least 16 years since my last car stereo install, so far so good.
