hytech runs you ~$4000 for street 2.0L kit (~240 whp), 2.0L race kit is ~$7500 (~265 whp), 2.3L race kit ~$10000 (~320 whp). Toda kit has much less gains but is more of a streetable alternative (like the street kit) with a smooth ass powerband. Toda kit runs $2300 for the cams, valve springs and tune + $1300 for the header and then you need exhaust with is another $600 or so and u get ~220whp. iono about the JRSC.

oh yeah, search is ur friend

Yea I've been searching for info on these set ups.. but it seems like there's 2-3 people with the engine kits.. and a few people with f/i but non of them seem to be either running well or have been missing parts
[like running the toda kit without exhaust peices]

or turbo/sc with bad traction...

And curious bout reliability also.

We'll just have to wait and see.. It's just I need to figure out what's next for my car. I want 290-320 hp at the wheels! lol speed is your friend

I've done some homework and I personally think the best bang for the buck is JRSC. Reliable, streetable, DIY install, upgradable, sick powerband w/ no lag... Traction is a problem, but isn't traction going to be a problem regardless of what's making power when you're at 300+ wHP?

Personally I am doing Power: K-Pro with JRSC and maybe spraying some N2O if JR doesn't hit us up with some sort of inter/aftercooler and 3" exhaust. Traction: ESMM, Sticky rubber, and hopefully the K-Pro launch control software will be fully fleshed out.

F/I is tricky, you can get MASSIVE power, but spin all day.

I'm still waiting for the Toda N2 1/4 times.

I will let you know on the times hopefully by the begining of June... I am waiting on 2 parts (comptech icebox and dc5 itr intake manifold, fucking backorder!) and then I am going back to BYT most likely to get it all put in.. as they did my Mugen SS nicely.

Westhampton as soon as I it all gets put in, then we'll see if I should have went the f/i route.....

Let me know when you're going, I'll run you! BYT still has to do my IMG. Just a quick question, why the icebox and not a CAI?
Hopefully, soon... They finaly shipped my intake manifold, but I'm hung up on waiting for my icebox. I want the icebox cause I am a hydro lock pussy. I live next door to, and work with a guy with a 350z who has a true cold air intake. he hydrolocked his, and I fear that... I know I know, there are ways around it, blah blah blah, but I do like Comptech... Even if they won't have the intake ready to ship till May 24th....

So hopefuly, by 2nd week of June everything in, then off to the track... I'll drop a line in the regional forum when I decide to go, cause a few people from work usually go as well.. one has a z06, an m3, a mach 1, and a z, so it becomes interesting at the track and on the ride there....

Will the TODA kit run properly with Icebox? Or is it tuned more for an Injen/AEM CAIS? I've heard people mention an SRI is good with TODA? Why is this?

Well, I heard the SRI is better with toda because it provides more air, less bends better flow etc, which is better for top end gains, where as a coldair maximizes midrange gains... supposedly. And toda with the type r intake manifold does need to breathe at high rpms... ~9000...

However I just liked the icebox, but due to the incredible out of stock situation I am still waiting on, I am picking up a injen short ram off ClubRSX (just placed my order in fact) and will see how I like it. Since a shop is doing my install, I was delaying all my parts waiting on comptech, like 2 months for a freaking exhaust.

When and if the comptech intake comes in stock, I'll get one and see which one I liked better....

Please post reviews when you know. I am going to purchase a TODA kit this winter (saving some $$ now), and I want to know what intake I need. I will purchase an ITR manifold but I need to know the rest.

I will for sure, hopefully it'll all be put together by the first week of june.... So my biggest suggestion, start early on getting your parts. The toda kit was the easiest to get by far, had it within a week or ordering (April). But the stupid ITR manifold took over a month, I ordered April 7th, and just got a tracking number yesterday... Comptech sucks real bad on supply and demand. Nothing is more frustrating then having an awesome engine kit sit in your closet cause you are waiting for the, intake, manifold and retainers....

Some parts are just hard to get it seems (for a good price especialy).... All in all, I'll be happy with a nice mid 13 second car and reliability.
