FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What's available in America?: Only the EP3 equipped with a K20A3.

Is there an EP3 Type-R in America?: No.

What series engines do the EP1 and EP2 have?: They have D-Series engines.

What series engines do the EP3s have?: All EP3s including the Type-R run K-Series engines.

ADDITIONAL MISC. INFORMATION:


  • Some after market parts for the EP3 can also fit the EP2.
  • Some of the body kits for the EP3 will also fit the EP2.
  • The head lights on all UKDM EPs are the same (except for models with projectors)
  • The EP3s suspension is not interchangeable with other EP chassis.
  • The EP1 and EP2 have four lugs, the JDM and UKDM EP3 have five lugs.
  • EP3 brake rotors will not fit into an EP1 or EP2 (because of the lug pattern)

bump... i think this one should be moved to the bolt on basics section and maybe copied to the all motor section also... but imo, this should be somewhere easy to find and read...

Define a k20a.....A lot of people have gotten burned on ebay with k20a's....any k20 motor in the jdm is a k20a.....even the strange type-s motor and the base dc5 motors have k20a stamped on them....so be careful....:noes:

Yea, the jdm type-s motor has "real vtec" on the intake side and a ep'sh exhost cam....made like 190 crank hp.....there is a thread on some guy that got one over crsx a couple of years ago....he thought he was getting a type-r motor.....:thumbsdow

hey there guys.

just read over your post searching some information for interchangeable parts of the D16V1 and D17A2 engine (which are sharing some parts and seem to be very similar).

I can provide you a self taken picture of my European EP2 D16V1 Engine.
So here you are...

edit: the header has been changed on this pic - so its aftermaket not OEM.
