1. Megan Midpipe, custom axleback with this muffler
from racing industries, whose website seems "uninspiring"
2. $400 (200 for midpipe and 200 for muffler and custom bend at exhaust shop)
3. 1 month
4. Stainless midpipe with stainless muffler and aluminized steel axleback piping.
5. 2.25.
6. Still basically new. Seems to have gotten quieter after short break in period
7. definitely loud! clean sounding and low pitched. Balances induction sound well. No 1.6 fart can sound
8. No winter yet, but I've never seen a chainlink fence <10 years old in too bad of shape soo.....aluminized steel will probably be okay
9. No fit or mounting issues due to professional install. Besides the language barrier and ignorance of my reply when asked "do you want it loud", the shop was awesome!

although the o.p. is old, i'd figure i would contribute:

1. What kind of exhaust is it? 2.5" aluminized steel tubing/vibrant stealth black 2.5" muffler

2. How much did you pay for it? $120 for tubing/$90 for the muffler

3. How long have you had it? 6 months

4. What is it made out of? tubing=aluminized steel/muffler=stainless steel w/ flat black coating

5. Pipe diameter and muffler type: 2.5" oval

6. Condition new vs. current condition: new when installed

7. noise level and tone: no silencer, deep sound, bass, no rasp, mean, "clean" through all rpm

8. quality: no rust (stainless steel and aluminized piping are not prone to rust i believe. The piping suffers alot of scuffs, but even going over a speed bump, it hasn't dented (knock on wood). i go to alot of casinos parking lots with my car and have dragged my exhaust numerous times...yet there are no dents...slow and low still gets the job done

9. Any extra comments you feel may help someone out when looking for exhaust. use referrals when going with custom piping. talk to the installer, watch what he/she does. ask questions. as a paying customer you have the right to see what is going on. also, i dont know of a single exhaust shop that actually does mandrel bends in house. although the "crush" bend piping may decrease overall exhaust size (maybe a .25" max) at certain bends, if this is just a daily car, it'll be fine. shops may suggest going with 2.25" piping, but go for the 2.5". this is good enough for simple bolt ons, a bolt on jrsc race kit, or even a greddy kit imo.

1. What kind of exhaust is it? Neuspeed 2.25 in all the way back

2. How much did you pay for it? $160 total picked up used

3. How long have you had it? 4-5 months give or take

4. What is it made out of? SS I am pretty sure.

5. Pipe diameter and muffler type: 2.25 i am pretty sure

6. Condition new vs. current condition: used and sirty as fuu

7. noise level and tone: sounds pretty beafy with the RH but overall its pretty damn quiet. I pass by cops and they dont even look at me..from what I see

All in all strongly recommend even though they are discontinued. really quiet but still some pretty noticable gains.

Hey fellas, is there an exhaust setup that maximizes aspiration and sounds similar to stock? I need it to be as stock sounding as possible.

What is involved with replacing the mid-pipe with the one from the RSX? I hear it's bigger and the stock ep3 one is very restrictive.

I am looking into getting this same muffler, but the twin tip and I am curious about the fitment of the muffler, is it able to be mounted so that the tips are flush with the bumper not sticking out any, my current setup with an obx muffler is having the issue of being about 2-3" to long and I am looking for a better sound/fitment.

In short it won't fit correctly, I just purchased one and the stock inlet is on the right while the vibrant is in the center. Has to clear the sway part so its a tight fit. About to return mine and hope I can find one of these in stock http://www.redline360.com/megan-racing-axle-back-exhaust-honda-civic-si-ep3-MR-ABE-EP3
