was the preload done properly?Hey guys. I wanted to know if you could help me with a couple of questions. I have a Fortune Auto coil over set up and I just had it installed and aligned. Will dampening help out with the trampoline like bouncing what is happening on every street? It’s a 500 series setup with upgraded springs.
Definitely have the preload checked to make sure it's setup correctly, play around with the dampening and having a shop that has actual experience with working on coilovers is always a plus.Honestly, I doubt it. The shop that did the install returned my car to me tucked, practically scraping with a serious negative camber in the rear after I told them I need to stay as close to factory height as possible. I brought the car back to them the very next day and had them fix it. They said that was a “look” not a problem. Yikes. After the second time there, it was set higher where the fender meets the top of the tread but that’s still lowered. They still didn’t put it where I had asked. I even left him with instructions from Fortune Auto. Now I’ve got to find a shop to correct everything and I don’t even think they did the preload right. Who knows… it’s unbelievable that a shop could be this unprofessional. For some reason they may have even filled the air in my tires way beyond the recommended psi levels. After the second time in the shop my car felt hard over every bump and the tires were squealing at slow speeds. Went to the Costco air pump and saw that my psi was damn near 40.
